At NorthRock we develop disciples, leaders, churches, and movements through an intentional focus on discipleship and incarnational living. As we strive to become who Jesus has called us to be and live the life He modeled for us, we follow a basic process:
The way we choose to live our life and the events we have are opportunities for us to introduce those around us to God and His way of living. At NorthRock, we create environments and experiences that you can invite your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to. We also see these as opportunities to make new connections with others in our NorthRock Church family. Choosing to make a connection or invite others is up to you, but we know you will be glad you did!
Forging a connection with God and with others within the church are two aspects of our Connect focus. There are three steps we take when committing our lives to Jesus Christ and connecting with Him. The first step is when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior and commit to live our lives according to His model. Next, we choose to obey Jesus’ command by declaring our faith publicly in water baptism. Finally, we believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to live out the life that Jesus has called us to. Throughout the year we present regular events to be baptized in water and in the Spirit.
We also believe that life is to be lived in community, therefore we have a rotation of small groups that meet throughout the year for fellowship and discipleship. Please contact Pastor Andrew if you are interested in finding out more about what small groups are currently available.
As a Christian, we have a command on our life to grow in our knowledge of God and mature in our faith so our lives increasingly reflect Him. Scriptural truth is presented each week through our Sunday services to all ages, birth through 99, and throughout the week in our NextGen ministries and small groups. Another way that we train people is through serving! We have something for everyone! Whether your passion is hospitality through the Harvest Cafe or greeting visitors, investing in the next generation through our NextGen ministries, serving your community through local missions, or letting your creativity flow on our worship team, media team, or creative team – there’s a place for you at NorthRock! Please contact us if you are interested in serving at NorthRock.
Send is the last step! God has a vision for your life and we want to support you as you are following His lead. We celebrate as a community when God calls individuals or families to participate regularly in local missions, join a short term mission trip, or embark on church multiplication through church planting or long-term missions.
